What is NFMS?

A National Forest Monitoring System (NFMS) is the key component in the management of information for national REDD+ programs.

Malaysia NFMS was established in 1972 and has been updated every 10 years since.

• Short term – geospatial images assessment
• Long term monitoring – national forest inventory
